Adversitology is an amazing and honest look at the authors near death experience and the practical process he has developed to replicate the success he had in overcoming his adversity. The use of writing in the third person was masterfully done and weaving in the monologue of his wife and daughter brought context, emotion, and perspective to the entire book. I put the Adversitology process to work in my life and it’s making a measurable impact on challenges I’m dealing with! I suggest you try it as well if you’re facing any form of adversity. A read well worth your time!

A powerful perspective to help you adjust your mindset and change your life

Reading about Frank overcoming such a life-altering adversity, along with his family’s perspective, was really empowering and inspiring. A Brilliant Book Full Of Wisdom From Some Who Has Made Full Use Of His God-Given Talents

I listened to the Audible version of this book and was glad I did. Frank is a masterful story teller who shares some powerful life lessons. I especially enjoyed hearing the voices of his wife, Nilsa and daughter, Laura, which underscore the strength of their family and interpersonal relationships. There is something in this book for everyone and particularly those confronting any kind of adversity.

Frank McKinney is “On mission!” for those who need inspiration on their mission!

I was blessed to discover Frank years ago and enjoyed his other books “The Tap”, “Dead Fred, Flying Lunch Boxes, and Good Luck Circle”, “Aspire”, and am looking forward to going back to read all of his other books. I started reading “Adversitology” with my wife over the weekend. The first chapter is riveting and knowing Frank, this book is perfectly timed for the days we are living. Folks need hope, vision, aspiration, and an example to follow. Frank’s writings are brutally and insightfully honest. He awakens my faith and spirit providing a way to emulate by his example and helping me to position to overcome and inspire others in my own circle. Being comfortable is dangerous in our time. Adversity is uncomfortable on the “stress meter,” but Frank helps the reader to find ways to be resilient in the struggle. I am looking forward to completing the book this week! On mission.

Taught me to turn my adversities into motivational tools!

I found this book to be incredibly impactful and inspiring in giving me a new perspective on dealing with life’s challenges. Frank has come through both a lifetime of self-inflicted, and most recently, the ultimate uncontrollable adversity life can throw at you- yet he’s still discovered a way to come out of it stronger than ever, and he’s shared that discovery is a way that is applicable to virtually any of life’s challenges- no matter how big or small or where they show up in our lives. I found the accounts from him and his family so honest and authentic and helped to demonstrate the reality of any human journey: imperfect and never linear. The insight is provided so formulaically that there’s no guessing work, and so inspiring that you’re enthusiastically ready to apply the steps. After months of being out of commission from a knee injury, I started reading the book on a Wednesday, and by that Saturday I was back out on the trail, marathon training again. I’ll be in good enough shape to run the Boston Marathon this year- a goal that I didn’t think was humanly possible a few short months ago. I’m so grateful I picked this book up.
